Use case
Traditionally you make Yerba Maté tea in a gourd and drink it with a bulb. The taste is somewhat like a spicy green tea. The sometimes light smoky taste is due to the process during the harvest, during which the branches are dried over a wood fire. And just like with green tea, this tea also becomes bitter if you pour boiling water directly on it. You can add a sweetener as desired, but also lime or lemon give the tea that little bit extra. Today there are also many soft drinks and energy drinks on the market based on Yerba Maté.
